I am moving toward a simpler and more organized life. A logical place to start is my information center. I want a simple and clean workspace.

| The Metal strips were great for hanging the drives |
Note that I use phillips screws only when I have to. Phillips screws strip very easily and have been a source of frustration to me for decades.
Torx and square head screws do not strip easily at all. I have never stripped either of them.
The only challenging part of the job was hanging the surge protector. The screws I was using were flat head screws and they were just small enough to fit into the holes in the back of the protector.
I made a template by doing a rubbing on the back of the surge protector with a piece of paper and a pencil. However, it is not easy to get the screws lined up perfectly so I wasted a great deal of time before my wife suggested that I use round head screws. One the switch was made to screws that were both round headed and a little bit smaller the surge protector went on easily. It also fell off easily so I put another screw at the end of the surge protector to keep it from moving and falling off.
